Kumasi was named the “Garden City of West Africa” by Queen Elizabeth in 1940 after she saw how beautiful the city looked with trees providing clean air, shades, and plenty water.

Proceed to the Manhyia Palace, the official residence of the Asantehene for a visit.The palace was built in 1925 by the British Colonial Government, it served as the private residence for Asantehene Agyeman Prempeh I upon his return from Seychelles after twenty-eight years in exile. The Manhyia Palace Museum stands as a symbol of the rich history and culture of the Asante Kingdom.
Continue to the National Cultural Centre incorporating King Prempeh ll jubilee museum. Where you will be made to see on display Asante Royal Paraphernalia crafted in gold and mementoes of war.
