Day 1: Arrival at the Kotoka International Airport

Day 2: Drive to Cape Coast

First Stop: Assin Manso Sacred River Assin Manso served as a slave market and the place where the slaves had their last bath. After sorting the slaves, the ones that were considered fit were sent to the forts along the coast where they were locked up in the dungeons before being transported across the Atlantic to a foreign land. This site has been preserved as a sacred place of remembrance of our ancestors.

The Masquerade Festival. . The festival is celebrated in Cape Coast and Takoradi. Happens on Christmas Day. Like in many carnivals all over the world, they have almost 40 different masquerade groups, and every group and its style of outfit team dress, and band.

Day 3 :Cape Coast and Elmina slave Castle.

Visit the Cape Coast and Elmina slave castle where it all began. We will experience the horror of the dungeons where enslaved Africans were kept to await the ships. After, we will pass through the "door of no return” where enslaved Africans exited and left their homeland. Today, the "door of no return" has been commemorated as the "door of return" to await the descendants of those who were forcefully taken.

Kakum National Park and Canopy Walk. In addition to the canopy trail, there are guided walks by park personnel giving you the chance to explore the nature of the area more intimately guided. The treks below the canopy and the elevated canopy walkway both give you unique perspectives to view the wilderness and wildlife.

Day 4: Kumasi Cultural Tour

Explore the rich history and culture of Kumasi, the heart of the Ashanti Kingdom, and Ghana's second city.

We will visit the open-air Kejetia Market which is the second largest market in Ghana, with stalls selling everything from glass beads to Ashanti sandals. The National Cultural Centre offers craft workshops and dance performances. It includes the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which displays jewelry and ceremonial clothing belonging to the 20th-century Ashanti king.

The next is a visit to the Manhyia Palace Museum. The Museum building is of great historical interest and importance as it also houses the Museum's exhibits such as royal regalia, photographs, medals, furniture, drums, and palanquins which are over two hundred years old, a battle dress that dates back to 1900, and many objects of historical significance as well as effigies

Day 5: Long Drive to Accra and relax at the Labadi beach

Day 6: Aburi Gardens

Aburi Botanical Gardens is a beautiful place full of trees and flowers and a quiet place for relaxation. It was opened over 100 years of age. In the Garden, you will see unique trees and flowers and know their origins, botanical names, and local medical uses. This is also a great place for good photography

Day 7: Accra City Tour

A visit to the National Mausoleum.

Visit to Independence Square and Black Star Square, the most famous symbols of Ghana.

Visit Makola market, the biggest and busiest market in Accra where you can shop beautiful African fabrics.

Visit the local art market for art and craft shopping, walk around, interact with artists, and enjoy the beautiful Ghanaian art

Walk around James Town, community and see some of the oldest buildings from the post-colonial era

Day 8: Akosombo boat Ride and Shaii-hills

Shaii-hills is dominated by granitic hills rising over 200m and covered by dry evergreen forests. The vegetation of the plains is mostly short-grass savanna (dominated by Vetiveria fulvibarbis, Brachiaria falcifera, and perennial grasses) with shrubs and trees. A mosaic of forest covers the 5 separate hills in the reserve, while grassland and low dry forests are found in intervening canyons. Baboons, green monkeys, antelopes, zebras, mammals, reptiles, and over 172 bird species have been identified in the reserve.
